Accountants Responsability
Accountants are required by law to inform their clients of their policies regarding privacy of client information. Such practice is called Professional Ethic by Board of Accounting in Brazil and must be followed. Our accounting Systems have the expertise to protect the Confidentiality and Security of Current and Former Client’s Information in order to guard your nonpublic personal information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with our professional standards. Due to these policies we are not authorized to provide copies of any documents to bankers and other third parties who may need the information without your written authorization.
Limitation of liability
Liabilities depend on the services contracted so each client has different needs. Accountants may not be responsible for poor business administration of the client, although they should guide their clients always in writing when solicited or spontaneously when the professional realizes significant changes that must be measured. Our team often include a limited liability clause in services contract to insulate themselves from potential contractual damages that arise from a breach of contracts. A limitation of liability is a cap on either the type of damages available or the amount of damages available. Damages can be direct, in that the harm flows directly from the contractor’s conduct, or they may be consequential, in that the harm was a factor in the amount but not necessarily the direct cause of the harm.
